Our Story
Massoud Group was established in June 2004 by Dr. Michel Massoud, building upon decades of pharmaceutical excellence and innovation. Today, Massoud Group is engaged in the manufacturing, importing, distributing, and promoting of pharmaceutical and OTC products, standing as one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Syria.
Dr. Massoud's journey in healthcare began with his B.S. in Pharmacy & Clinical Pathology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. From 1975 to 1990, Dr. Massoud established and managed Massoud Lab, a leading clinical chemistry laboratory in Damascus, Syria.
In 1990, he founded Massoud Bahri & Co (MBC), a pharmaceutical company that produced tablets, capsules, dry syrup, aerosol, and liquid syrup under license from foreign companies in France, Hungary, and Slovenia, as well as other generics. Under Dr. Massoud's General Management, MBC successfully marketed these products in Syria and other Arab countries, becoming the No.1 company in exporting pharmaceuticals to Iraq between 1997 and 2002.
Today, Massoud Group employs 500 qualified professionals, including pharmacists, doctors, lab technologists, and technicians. We are proud to be the first company to introduce Blow Fill Seal technology in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in Syria, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and advanced manufacturing processes.
